The Junior Finance Executives Association (JFINEXA), under the College of Business Administration (CBA), held an annual career orientation and enhancement program on December 10, 2020.
With the theme “Adaptation of the new normal for future success,” the event tackled topics focused on student career paths in financial management, and financial industry during the pandemic. As JFINEXA President Marvin Bulahan, noted the event gave “guidelines for the students [on] financial management.”
Richard Thaddeus Carvajal, the chief executive officer of the Philippine Global Estate Management Services & Realty Corp., was the guest speaker in the event. He discussed the role of the financial industry in the pandemic and the future of the students pursuing in the field of financial industry. He also provided insights regarding investments and financial management amidst crises.
Acknowledging the difficulties the students are facing in the new normal, Winlind Liwanag-Delapaz, the JFINEXA program coordinator and a CBA professor, praised the event’s success. She also said that the event was “a chance to meet successful professionals and be inspired by their success and commitments.” Likewise, JFINEXA Advisor Atty. Christian Mei Gonzales hopes that the event inspire students “to do well not just in school but in all of the things that [they will actually do].”
