THE COLLEGE OF MIDWIFERY produced another board passer in the 2019 Midwifery Licensure Exam when Leanne Katrina Salarda passed the said examination.
The licensure examination for midwives usually takes place twice a year – in April and November.
The CMW Dean Prof. Ace Lennon N. Babasa extended his congratulations, not only to the recent board exam passer, but also to all the board passers who were under his care since the beginning of the college in 2015.
He has been preparing the graduates by encouraging them to enroll in a review center that took at least two months of examinations, lectures and refresher courses.
According to Prof. Babasa, the first batch of board exam takers took their exam last 2017 with a passing rate of 83.33%, producing the first topnotcher of the college – Mary Anne Concepcion Silverio with an 88% passing rate, ranking fourth place. “I am very pleased about the results of their performance. Congratulations! They did a good job,” he said.
